I'm sure that's what you've asked. Where on earth is Jen & why hasn't she blogged in over a year?! Well....been kinda busy. My sweet & beautiful Princess arrived 8 months ago and it's been non-stop since the first cry. Brady has really "grown up" lately. He started 3 year old kindergarten last week & has really been loving it. His teachers are wonderful, and I finally feel like he's in the right place. I feel comfortable each time I leave him, which is a huge deal. His 4th birthday is only days away and I can't believe he's going to be 4! Seriously?? Wasn't it just yesterday that he was learning to walk? Lila-Jeanne is sprouting. I blink and she grows another size. She has been scooting all over the house (making good use of all my hardwoods). She just started pushing up on her knees & rocking her little bootie-crawling will probably come any day now. I am overwhelmed by blogging again. I feel like you're expected to blog daily, and I just want to know how these people have the time to make a blog post every day. I have so much to update that this could easily be 20 pages! The short version: Life is good, my sweet babies are perfect & make me smile daily, 2009-2010 were crazy, hectic, insane, years, 2010 has been an AMAZING year, finally settling in (after a year) into our home, made some wonderful new friendships, let my hair grow out looooong, found a church home, and discovered a new enchilada recipe. :)

Do You Kung Fu?
Last night was Family Move Night at church, complete with pizza and drinks. The movie was Kung Fun Panda. I hadn't seen this before, and Brady has never been to the movies (you know he's just so deprived), so I thought this would be a great night out. Plus, if he didn't make it through the movie I wouldn't care since it's free. Well, my little man shocked me and sat still through the entire movie. Not only was he still, but he actually watched it! He looked so cute in his pajamas holding his bowl of goldfish watching a movie like a big kid. If you haven't seen this movie yet, I'd suggest it. It's really cute and has a cute message-There is no secret ingredient. As good as the movie was, the highlight of the evening for me was fresh popcorn served in Chinese take-out cartons and fortune cookies. YUM!

Still No Pics
In case you haven't noticed, I haven't posted any current pictures lately! I think that means I just lost Mother of the Year. Since moving, I can't find the battery charger for the camera anywhere. I promise to have plenty of Mitten pics in the future to make up for it.
Brady has been in full swing lately. He is so verbal now and can carry on a conversation with anyone, especially if it's about Thomas the Train. He is obsessed with trains and has his own train table in his playroom. He lives at it...seriously.
Tonight is movie night at the church I've been visiting. We are going to see Kung Fu Panda and eat some yummy food with friends. What could be more fun than an auditorium full of kids in pajamas, eating fattening pizza, drinking Coke, and listening to a bunch of momma's saying "shhh"? Sounds like a great night to me!

Where Does The Time Go?
Have I really not blogged since last summer? Things have been so hectic with being in transition for 3 months before moving, but now things are finally starting to slow down. Not really, I have a 2 year old! Things NEVER slow down! I am loving my new house! I can't believe how much room I have and I LOVE my kitchen! The new house currently smells like baby powder. I have no idea where it came from since I don't use it, but Brady managed to find a bottle of baby powder. He also managed to open it and you can imagine what happened next. His sweet little hands figured out if you squeeze the bottle, powder blows out the top! Needless to say, my hard wood floors that I so carefully mopped last night are now covered in a white, powdery film. At least the house smells good, right?

Busy, Busy, Busy!
WOW! We've been soooooo busy! It seems that we constantly have something going on! Brady is Mr. Popularity and had some birthday parties to go to recently. He loves to "pawty". Brady and his girlfriend, Emma, keep me on my toes. They are hilarious together! Emma comes over Monday-Friday now while her Mommy & Daddy run their shop. I think they're enjoying each other's company. Brady started back to school last week. He's at the same church, just moved up to the 2 year old class. He LOVES it!
Jeff is enjoying his last few days of freedom before the fall semester begins at Furman. He's taking two more classes. It's a lot for him with work and school, plus a family, so I continue to be his cheerleader.
Jeff and I had a much needed date Friday night. Brady spent the night with his Maw-Maw & Paw-Paw and we went out for some over priced coffee. We came home early, watched a movie, and crashed. We enjoy the little moments we get together...and the sleep.
We're getting ready for Brady's 2nd birthday! Where does the time go?! I can't believe my Mitten is almost 2! My goal is to start blogging more often, so check back with us soon and maybe I'll have some updates!

Drumroll Please.........
Here it is! Our first official blog post! We never thought we'd become bloggers, but with the distance between family and friends, we decided this would be a great way for everyone to see what's happening in our world. So where do I start? Jeff started back to school this summer to finish his BA in Business. He goes to Furman two nights a week. It's made for some long days for me, but I know it's going to be worth it for him. He finishes summer session in the next few weeks, and then has a two week break before fall semester starts.
Our house is for sale!! We are building a larger home, just a few miles away. We won't be able to buy the new one until ours sells. The worst that can happen is we have to watch the new one be completed and don't sell and have to watch someone else move in. It will be tough, but we have a great home and won't complain about staying. Anyone looking for a 3BR/2BA in great neighborhood?? I know a great place for sale!
I've decided to start doing some baby-sitting lately, and the jobs just keep rolling in. It has been a great way to earn some extra money and I've really been enjoying myself.
I went to Boston for a visit with Becca. We had so much fun! The highlight was the Bon Jovi concert! She showed me the entire city in just 3 days. We got to spend a lot of time together, which doesn't happen often.
Brady is so active and busy he deserves a blog all to himself! He is still going to school one day a week at Greer First Baptist. He loves it! I think he enjoys every minute of it, and it gives me a little break to get some things done. Coloring and trains are his new favorites. He can color like a pro, and we've started a collection of coloring books for him to pick from. He could very well be the next Rembrandt or Picasso. We shall see. We had water night at church Sunday night, which consisted of lemonade, a never-ending spread of desserts, and water slides. Wow! They even set up a baby pool for the little ones. Brady decided he was a "big boy" and ran to get in line for the water slides. When we took his hand and led him back to the baby pool, he kicked it, screamed, and ran back over to the big kid slides. Needless to say, Jeff and I were both too big for the slides, so we spent the evening handing him off to older kids to hold him and slide. He had the best time!
Speaking of church, we are about to start small groups again. We don't have a traditional Sunday school program, but participate in in-home small group Bible studies. This has been an amazing experience for everyone, and I'm proud to say Jeff will be leading a group again.
Well, I've survived the first post! Brady keeps running in and out of the office with his crayons. Hopefully we can keep everyone updated on our lives on a regular basis!
